some one can change our minds, easily ....

Some years back I was watching the movie "Inception, I was very fascinated by the Idea that an Idea can be planted into a human mind and people are paid for it !
Really isn't it amazing to think that a Human mind can be manipulated, it can be played with. Just imagine, what if it happens to you,
Yes,
what if you have to face the consequences of decisions which you were not in control of ... !!
How would you feel, Imagine you take a decision without your control and it resulted affecting many lives.
Who is accountable for such a decision, think think...

I would say partially you and primarily the people who affected this decision.

Now lets think is it possible or is it happening today ?  A predictable yes would be the answer.

I believe that one of the very powerful and important assets that differentiates a human from an animal is the power to make a decision and intellect but why should I or *WE* be concerned about this.
 
what is the role of media in this vicious effect that could happen to man ? simple, a human on earth is somehow in someway connected to some kind of today's media as we know.

Be it the classic media i.e: newspaper, or the modern media i,e: news channels etc..and then there is social media on top to it. An average human is surrounded by so much information then there are multiple facets to the same information. The information is so readily available that many a times we tend to overlook the authenticity of it. So much of information is so much handy we become lazy to seek for the authenticity in it.  More dangerous are some form of media which seem to manufacture information.

We know of the manufactured news in social media created by any tom dick and harry for the so called *Likes and Shares*. During a busy day, we suddenly receive a message that particular area is communally tense, what effect does it leave over your head, to the most minimal it would disturb you. How ever we get angry when we discover the information was a false scare, this would leave you changed,

what I would like to stress here is that a simple message typing effort and an almost no cost was able to change the state of mind on an average human. what if this affect was created on individuals who are mentally and physically more active, it would result in a more pronounced affect.
This affect is more pronounced if it is propagated to more similar people.
To summarize you don't need to be a mastermind to plan a pronounced affect of a huge or smaller scale.

Spot the hidden villains in this situation, No points for guessing it is mainly the human minds of a person who initiated the affect and the human minds that were affected by such a message without checking the authenticity and what is the medium of propagation - the same human minds who *forward the info* etc..
The equation would be simple the more people you reach the more is the probability of an adverse affect.
Now imagine the affect of such an act when the mainstream media is manufactured. Yes, we have continuously heard this allegation against the mainstream media, but what are the effects of such an information, can we easily side this topic and say it is tool with conditions applicable. NO
a big NO, sit for lunch, watch the modern media on TV and you leave the lunch agitated, you dont see it but there is an affect - a long term affect.
Special care is needed in our personal enclosure and on a mass communication medium to handle so much of information be it any kind. We must be careful in accepting what is correct and what is farce.

Here is where the intellect comes into picture and a periodic calm state of mind.

So, now you know someone has been controlling you all along and you never knew !!

Next time, you hear such a news, do a 3 level check

1. Is the news authentic for me to process it ?
2. Is the news good or bad ?
3. Will the news positively benefit me ?

The next time, keep you minds in the hands of your intellect !!

A foot note for the people who plan such an activities is that if they are looking for power or money or any such thing - it is only going to get negative affect into the lives. Their money is colored with the ill caused by such a fake/evil news... Prepare for consequences !

A desire to be "Developed"

This election season we have witnessed something which sets apart the 2014 General elections from the rest.
No prize for guessing, it has been "The emphasis on development". There is an increasing desire in the whole country to be called a developed nation. I would say this is the wave which is riding the whole country.


The nation does not want to see its leaders to side
a community,
a caste,
an ideology
or any other trivial thing which comes in the way of its "dream".
Majority of Indians carry an aspiration to be the super power and rule the world.

This article however is not about the 'dream' but the responsibility that comes along with it. So what is it that I am going to talk about. No, I am not looking at the monetary or economic values of our nation, But it is those abstract qualities that define us in a social sphere. "Our behavior with a developed mindset "

I have always believed that, a change in a individual is necessary for a change in the country.
If we set aside those problems where the role of an Indian does not have a direct impact on the situation,we still have so many problems in our country where we are to be held direct responsible ...!! Yes, the truth is bitter, but we are ought to face it. What is our answer to these problems ?


The traffic in our country is a mess, many break the rules because the 'others' break them !!
We clean our houses to be best level possible, but we leave the public places in the worst possible ways ...!!
There is littering on the road,
We don't care about others property because after all it is not 'ours'
We hate garbage and unfortunately we cause it to develop !!

A small peep into this dimension will leave us puzzled and stunned, we can find a myriad of issues with us as the primary culprit...!! We expect one person or a party to change the situation, but how can this happen ?  We have turned so much passive towards all such important things, that we have stopped caring about it.

The way ahead is changing ourselves. Imbibing these moral and social values is not a charity to the country, but a grave responsibility we have to take up. We can keep counting on such issues, but the real impact is when we see these issues and make an effort to change the situation. Being the youth of this country we have to start contributing and start channelizing our efforts for our better future. Social work has to occupy our calenders as does our personal work.


we have been leading our life in a unsophisticated setup, where we compromise for most and settle for things which are less than best. But what will be our response when this situation is going to change ? If we don't change now it is highly likely we would carry the same emotions and same behavior into our much hyped future ?

Moving on from our social responsibilities, we encounter our second problem, our under developed mindset and emotions.

We are highly unreceptive to any kind of criticism. We neither take positively and improve nor we ignore it and move on. we can observe it time and again that a majority of Indians take criticism as a personal attack and start attacking back.
Many such qualities define 'us' Indians to the foreign crowd. Other qualities like blaming others, a narrow mindset to accommodate people of different behavior and traditions, Lacking sense of authenticating statements, being judgmental are qualities we should scrap and look forward for a better outlook. If we still continue to act as a people with an under developed mindset, we are in to be fooled for political and other benefits.

We have to remember that a developed country is made up of people with High moral and a developed mindset to take inspiration from.
Yes, I understand that it is quite far fetched for now, of course we are yet to start our innings in this long run chase. But it is quite necessary for us to imbibe these beautiful qualities which on a different plane would represent us where we want us to represent ourselves.

We and our plastic patriotism

Some time back, I was in a middle of a prattle with my friends,as it normally happens in a headless discussion,
there came up a topic, related to our National Anthem.

Going into the topic, some one on the lunch table said, "I saw my first movie in a multiplex and remember this, as the National anthem was played" (in beginning or at the intermission....I do not remember when)
when another of my colleague took over and said, this may not be a great thing, as some people may not like or as they say "Respect " the anthem...
The discussion continued, and as we were about to wrap it up,One of my colleague said something like
"Future generation would ask what is a National anthem".....!!!

Here something started running in my mind, I thought could this be true ???

Then suddenly something else struck my mind, what is so important about National entities.....??

why do we respect them , or identify them ??
then suddenly my mind took another turn, this time for good, what is the reason behind all these ?

I don't know what exactly would be the reason, but this is what my heart gave me as an answer.

When I say, I am an Indian, what are the requirements I have to fulfill, well I cant just say that right !!
I would have to pay a price for it, right !!, It is not free after all....
A national enemy does not have this liberty...!! Right ..??

Now, let me think why we call our freedom fighters a true Indians....
Answer : they fought for the country...

Bingo...

By country, what were they fighting for...??

let me be specific,...

When Bhagat singh took to the punishment from British, was he fighting for the Sikhs??
When Maulana Azad worked for the country, did he work for the Muslims of the future..??
When M.K Gandhi and others took to the fast, did they do it for the Hindus of the country ..??

No, certainly NOT...

They were working for a free India, where INDIANS would be free.....

Not, Hindus/Muslims/Christians Etc...

You get the point,
For them 'Country' was not people from their community or Land of their ancestors, their ancient past Etc....nothing...for them Country was 'people of the Country'...

But when we see our situation today, we are more obsessed with our self,our lives, our community  ....

We don't care, if some Indian is dying on the road,
We don't care, if some Indian is crying for help.
We don't care, if some Indian is hungry for food,
We don't care, if some Indian sister/mother is being raped,

Are we Indians ????

Forget these above ones,The situation is sometimes more pathetic,
People are being killed in our country because of riots ,
People are being driven away because they are not "sons of soil"
People are being ridiculed because of their habits and culture and language...

And we call ourselves patriots and Indians....

Saluting the Tricolor, Respecting the Anthem, Rooting for the National sports team....
these are not enough to call ourselves Indians / so called patriots...

Remember to love your fellow Indians, because
"Country does not mean sand ,Country means People "

What's your Excuse..??

Today Morning after having breakfast, i hopped onto the BMH shuttle,the shuttle came onto the road and stopped at the first signal,
Suddenly something was happening on the busy road, it grabbed my attention, and before i could get a complete picture, many in the shuttle were popping from their seats to 'enjoy a fight'.
I could not get the whole story, but as far as I understood, a middle aged person(A) in his bike was hitting a relatively young man driving a scorpio (B) with hand and helmet.
He was accusing the latter of something and as could see he was clearly furious, I assume he was having his own personal problems, when this problem instigated the anger out of him.
As seconds passed, there were many onlookers both inside the shuttle and outside.
It was troubling my mind in the morning, and I made up my mind to stop it.....but I dont know the language and time ... said my mind and that was my Excuse.....
meanwhile as the fight was still going on, an Auto-driver stepped out of his three wheeler walked into the middle of the trouble and interfered, my mind said 'now it is ok'.
He may be illeterate or a less educated - which i am not sure - but definetely he was the only brave and strong person, amidst all those humans who were watching the movie....
He sent clear the furious person and also the other from each other and after some scoldings and some drama finally the traffic signal was clear and our shuttle started moving, so did the others - both the actors and the audience-
At the end, when these images where playing in my thoughts, I left with in shuttle from the area with a mere excuse and small guilt  !!
what if the Auto-driver had not middled, a casual answer would be some hurts, some wounds and whole lot of drame....!!Are we worth just that...
"if i am not in it ..why should I get into it..??" This is one notion when we see something bad happening,
But a brave man or rather a True human is one who walks into such situations, without thinking about the profit or gain.
Indeed in this modern world this outlook not only helps solve problems and also to avert them from happening...because with being a great human comes great social responsibility..animals do not need an excuse..!!
I then decided that in future I would not live with such an excuse ......cause I do not have enough courage to answer to my Inner soul..when it asks me "What is your Excuse ..??"
